Eco
Club of Fazl Ali College organized the
third segment of Santa’s Workshop on 4th November 2022, with the
theme “Green Christmas 3” at Ketsangriju, Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung,
Nagaland from 10:00 am onwards. The Club strives with the motto “Live Green”.
Santa’s
workshop is a popular activity of the club where the students are given hands
on training to make budget friendly decorative items and ornaments for
Christmas using waste materials and easily available natural items. It is held
every year during the onset of Christmas season (October-November). This year
the annual event was conducted in the college premises where thirty six (36)
students attended. The Eco Club Student Executive Council led by Mr. Imkongmar,
President Eco Club participated as Trainers in the workshop.
Dr.
Temjensangla Pongener, Co-ordinator, Eco Club FAC shared that the club
undertakes this annual event with the aim to address the large amount of waste
generated every Christmas season. She further added that the workshop mobilizes
students and club members to channelize their skills and creativity towards
creating a greener and more sustainable Christmas.
